Matt Maher and #2!!!

Matt:

On Friday night Barb and I went with one of my co-workers to VA and saw Matt Maher and Michael W Smith. It was a GREAT concert. The church wasn't as big as Overlake, so even though we were in the general admittance, we weren't too far away. Also, I got a Matt Maher T-Shirt and his newest CD. And then I got it signed by him too! woohoo!!

Actually, they were teasing me that I was really fast. We had a 10 minute intermission, and in the time that Barb and Laura went to the Bathroom, I bought the T-shirt and the CD, went to the bathroom, and then we got it signed right after. I knew what I wanted. :)

Last night (Halloween) was our last Band competition. We got 7 trophies. It was GREAT. They were all second place trophies, but at least we were consistant. AND we lost the marching caption by .7 points, and we were 4 points from #1 in percussion, but otherwise, we were never more than 2 points from #1. Overall, we were only 1.9 points from first place. They worked hard, and they did really well. They got a Superior rating as well. This little band is on its way up. They did a great job, and I'm really proud of them.

Thank goodness for the extra hour of sleep. It totally made my day. Now I only have everything else in the world to do today. Ugh.
