Flying Out!

Well, an hour before we leave the apt... We are packed, things are ready to go. My classroom is all shut down. The lights are timed, presents have been swapped here. I'm ready to go to Seattle.

Barb and I were talking: "break" isn't as sweet without the sheer exhaustion of finals leading into it. I mean, it is still MORE than welcome, but really, there's NO comparison. I kind of feel like, "Oh, ok. We get a few days off."

Here's to hoping that I get home safe and on time. If EVERYTHING goes well, I'll be home at midnight PST. So, East-coasters: think of me as you role over in your beds at 3am. I'll be landing. (Hopefully).

Merry Christmas! (or, as my students told me on the way out the door: Meri Kurisumasu and Geseende Kursfees! - Which they learned from me for our Christmas Program!)
